A group from across the electricity supply chain – including DER owners, distributors, retailers, generators, EV charging suppliers – considered a proposal for an industry-led, collaborative, practically focused effort to identify the least-regrets steps needed to integrate and use distributed energy resources in the electricity system and markets.
There was broad support for a process which focused on how to practically realise the value of DER to deliver significant value to Aotearoa New Zealand, including by accelerating electrification and decarbonisation.
